Delta Therapy Ltd
Online Person-Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy
from an autistic therapist
I am only taking on email clients at present (September 2024) and this is likely to remain the case for the rest of the year. I am not currently operating a waiting list but I will update this site when I have new availability for online clients.
You are the expert on you!

How can I Help?
I offer an individual approach to therapy, as every client is an individual with different ways of thinking and reacting to things. Different people seek counselling for different reasons. Perhaps you are feeling down or depressed or anxious. Perhaps you have a conflict you wish to resolve or an aspect of your life that you wish to change. I will not tell you what to do but I will offer you a non-judgemental space where you can explore the areas of your life which you choose to bring to our sessions and come to your own decisions in your own time. I may challenge some of your assumptions or perceptions on occasion, in order to deepen understanding and foster new insights. I will be guided by you as the expert on yourself.
I offer online counselling and email (asynchronous) counselling.
My fees are £75 for a therapeutic hour (minimum 50 minutes). I offer a free introductory session for those looking to engage in regular counselling sessions so we can get to know each other a little and you can see if you think we might be a good “fit”.
My normal working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the day. Currently there is no scope for sessions outwith these times. I work with individual adults.

Special Interest Areas
Neurodiversity
Being autistic myself, I understand the challenges that being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world can bring.
Whistleblowers
Raising concerns about wrongdoing sometimes backfires. Fighting "the system" can be exhausting and demoralising.
Counselling & Psychotherapy Trainees
Many courses expect counselling trainees to be in therapy themselves
Medical Professionals & Students
I am a retired doctor and worked in the NHS for ten years before my change of career.
Chronic Pain & Health Conditions
I cannot advise on medical conditions but I can offer understanding of the exhaustion and stigma often experienced.
High-Achievers
Perfectionism, imposter syndrome, not feeling "good enough"
About Me
Delta Therapy is owned and run by Dr Shirley Moore who has arrived in the therapy world after a rather circuitous journey having explored a number of different careers first, including engineering, IT and medicine. I will be gradually building this website to include more information about therapy and my practice.
